I am 61 years old now and enjoying my retirement. I can't think of anything I would rather be doing right now than making primitive reproductions. Still, we are contemplating making this my last year of doing it full time. We have been fortunate to be able to see much of the world, having visited more countries than states, and now it is time to see more of our own beautiful country we live in.
I spent many years doing shows in Virginia; where I ultimately opened a shop in a quaint little village in Williamsburg, Virginia. I enjoyed being in that historical setting and meeting tourists from all over the world. There I fell in love with the work of 18th century craftsmen and I continue to try to reproduce items of that era and items of our historical past.
I have been very fortunate to have met and known some of the finest craftsman of the trade in Virginia. From them I have learned and still to this day am still learning even though it is primarily by telephone since moving back to Alabama. My wife and I have made many friends over the years on the internet from our customers. I have been on Ranting Raven for over 7 years working with Kathy and Marcel and I am very grateful for all of their assistance and kindness. I cannot thank them enough working with them all these years.
All of my items are made one at a time by me from start to finish. I do not mass produce, build an inventory, or have any assistance in production of my pieces. Each piece is made to order for you.
